  Italian at it finest : South London prices BUT West End Stylish!
  
  My husband and I decided to have date night in our local, over going up Central London . I'm happy to review we were not disappointed by the, tucked under the bridge , Italian in Croydon. The bar is stylish and a pleasant waiting area ,or even a retreat for a quick drink , and the deco in the main area is tastefully stylish!
  
  The service was on point , and the food was fresh tasty  and wholesome Italian . I've eating calamari at several restaurants, but this was definitely one of the best. The atmosphere was surprisingly buzzing for a Monday night...highly recommended!

  Well I like this place. Sure it's a little intimidating and a few of the staff seem somewhat "aloof" but the decor is very stylish and the quality of the wines, even the house wines, is excellent. It's hard to believe you're in Croydon. (Not exactly the culinary epicenter of England)
  Had the Quattro Stagioni pizza (yeah I know  pizzas aren't exactly Italian fine food) but it was great - thin crust and plenty of the good stuff - pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. There's a separate desert menu with daily specials. I opted for the profiteroles (obviously), my wife went for the (daily special ) cassata. Both were great. We'll be back for sure.

  The reason for my rating is the service of one waitress only. It may not seem fair but if you dread for this one person to come by and take your order, well ...
  The food was good but this one waitress made the experience such an unpleasant one! She was condescending, virtually raised her eyebrows at each questions we had. This really spoilt the evening and I would not go back.
  We had the crab salad to start which was really nice and the seafood linguine again it was nice. Nothing wrong with the food, but it wasn't fabulous enough to make us forget about the appalling customer skills of this one person.

  This restaurant looks very nice and contemporary. Service was somewhat acceptable 6/10.
  Overall it is not what I expected and our party of three was less than happy with the quality of our meals. We each had  different dishes and there was nothing to rave about (and even returned one).
